MEV is a STEAM focused program – STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) is designated to integrate Art, Aesthetics, Ethics, Linguistics, Culture, Communication, Design Principles, and Creative Thinking into an interdisciplinary and cross-curricular concept in contrast with the original STEM curriculum. MEV STEAM Challenge not only focuses on the making and racing of a scaled model car, it is a comprehensive program that exercises a team's working dynamic, ability to transform textbook knowledge into applications, using Design Thinking and Engineering Methodology to solve problems, applying cutting-edge technology in manufacturing process, and building team’s own brand that could eventually become a business.

MEV program incorporates a dozen of challenges (12 in total) in sequential levels (5 Tiers & 1 Open Class) that could help each participant formulating a unique path for learning and career development in accordance with personal interest and professional discipline.
